Seminar content – about digital solutions in Africa

Over the past 3-4 years, we have seen an increasing interest in digital solutions within all sectors, in Africa. And we believe Nordic companies can make a significant difference in Africa, due to the way we lead/manage, think innovative and have trust in people. Remarkably, digital flows in Africa —which were practically nonexistent just 15 years ago—now exert a larger impact on GDP growth than the centuries-old trade in goods.

The world is more connected than ever, but the nature of its connections has changed in a fundamental way. The amount of cross-border bandwidth that is used has grown 45 times larger since 2015. It is projected to increase by an additional nine times over the next five years as flows of information, searches, communication, video, transactions, and intracompany traffic continue to surge. In addition to transmitting valuable streams of information and ideas in their own right, data flows enable the movement of goods, services, finance, and people. Virtually every type of cross-border transaction now has a digital component.

At this conference “Digitalisation in Africa”, we will get a more clear picture of the projected digital economic growth in the African countries as well as learning more about how Nordic companies do digital business in Africa, as well as in which countries in Africa they operate in. We will learn about the company cases´strategy and capability of scaliing up their business model in Africa. The companies presenting their business at this seminar have focus on business in +10 african countries.

It´s also possible to meet advisors, ambassadors and experts in the field of doing business in Africa. This seminar will be a +100 participants seminar, make sure to book your seat(s) in time. On behalf of The Danish Confederation of Industries and AFRICA INNOVATION NETWORK®, we welcome you to this very interesting seminar about digitalisation in Africa.
